The
Eastern end of the Meadow is being species enriched with British
native plants gradually the whole area will be converted from the
plain amenity turf that exists now, to a rich tapestry of indigenous
flowers.
The first section to be planted is shown here. Much
of the work has been
 
undertaken by the Isle of Wight Women's Institute,
many of whos members assisted with the planting of hundreds of young
wildflower plants.
