Iris pseudacorus



Iris pseudocorus HP Water Flag, Yellow Flag A robust, beardless iris which forms strong clumps of mid-green leaves, to 1m, and bears stems of bright yellow flowers, with violet veining, in spring. It can be grown either in a rich soil in the border or as a water-marginal, but needs a sunny spot. It is used commercially as a dye: yellow from the flowers and black from the roots.
