CELEBRATE SPRING WITH JOYFUL COLOURFUL WORK FROM
2 LOCAL AWARD WINNING ARTISTS….
Where : The Echium Room, Ventnor Botanic Gardens
When : Friday 12th, Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th April
10.00 to 4.30pm each day
What : JANE COX CERAMICS & SUE LOWDAY LEATHER & METAL
Who : Jane Cox MaRCA, AWG, CPA( Fellow) and Past Master of The Art Workers Guild (AWG) and local Binnel Studios artist specialises in vibrant ceramics combining elegant shapes with rich translucent glazes. Emerald blues, greens and turquoises will be on show together with new speckle glazes inspired by the island shoreline. Items vary from Large Decorative Chargers ( £350) to smaller scale jugs and mugs ( £68 and £35) as well as a range of affordable smaller scale items.

Sue Lowday MA, AWG specialises in eco vegetable tanned leathers , exploring the unique properties of moulding and shaping the leather in addition to developing unique colourful dye and textural techniques. Work encompasses practical everyday items like belts and bags ( from £38 to £250) ranging through to sculptural formed bags that can be found in museum collections ( POA)
Sue is also showing her ethereal metal sculptures inspired by rock formations and the human form.
Both Artists work to commission and will be available during the exhibition to discuss their work .
