The VBG Outdoor Classroom Opens for Business

At a special launch event at the garden, VBG has launched our programme for school’s education, driven and assisted by the VBG Friends’ Society.
Joy Monro of the VBG Friends has brought the knowledge from her career as a school teacher and developed a programme of themes such as Awesome Adpaptations and Woody Wonders that link into the garden. Each theme is accompanied with helpful teachers notes for guidance. There are also suggested activities and worksheets supplied. All of these are offered as free downloadable pdf files from this website.
Grounded in the National Curriculum, our educational programmes cover a range of topics and are designed to link with specific areas of the Garden. This helps to make the planning and running of your day straightforward and simple as well as maximising the educational benefits this outdoor classroom has to offer.
